Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. When you place an order, request a quote, fill in a form or browse the pages contained within this website, you agree to these terms and conditions which are also referred to as terms of use.

General terms of use
The business Bare-Tech and its website are located and intended to be used by customers in the United Kingdom and therefore, any laws in other countries are not applicable to us. The English courts will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to, a visit to our site and shall be governed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the products or services we provide on our site without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period of time. All information contained on this website is owned by us and as such, it is protected by copyright laws. You should print and keep a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference. The information contained within the website is subject to change at any time without notice as is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with our site or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our site, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of goodwill, wasted time and for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort including negligence, breach of contract or otherwise. This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. We shall not be liable for any default due to any Act of God, war, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm or other event beyond our reasonable control. We shall not be responsible for the contents of any third parties, provided to you by a link on the website or otherwise.
All equipment held by us, either for repair, service or modification which has been completed by us but not yet paid for, will be held for 90 days whilst we do our best to contact you via all available contact methods given to us. Failure to pay for the services provided by us without a valid reason, or failure to respond to our attempts to contact you will be deemed as abandonment, and as such, we reserve the right to recoup the cost of our services by means of selling the equipment. Likewise, equipment that is sent in to us to be tested before we buy it from you, is also deemed to be abandoned, if failure to respond to contact from us occurs after 90 days from us receiving the equipment.

Products and Services

We reserve the right to cancel any orders where the purchased product or service includes incorrect information on our website such as price, description, pictures or other information. If your products arrive damaged, please refuse delivery so that it will be returned to us. If you suspect damage, sign for the item as unchecked and take photos of the parcel before and during opening it, to allow a claim to be submitted to the courier and contact us within 24 hours. The stated delivery timescales given by us are a guide only. We cannot be held responsible for delivery by post or courier which is out of our control.

We offer a 90 day return to base warranty on all repairs and used products sold by us. New products sold by us are covered by a 1 year return to base warranty. Exceptions to the warranty include physical damage, liquid damage, any damage caused by improper use, removable covers such as knobs, fader caps, battery covers or other port/interface covers. Also excluded is any item with single use codes e.g. software, activation codes or subscription codes. This warranty also does not cover damage or failures or injury which result from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, faulty installation, improper maintenance, and improper voltage supply, interference from or with other electronic devices, alteration, improper modification, firmware flashing, bios flashing or service by anyone other than us.

We bear no responsibility for your loss of data. Please ensure that all data is removed or backed up from the device before bringing or sending it in for repair or returning the equipment. All products sent to us remain under the customer’s shared responsibility with the courier, until we have physically received them. This includes goods left outside by a courier service, delivered to the wrong address, damaged or lost in transit. Prior to receiving such products the risk of loss and damage for such products remains with the Customer and their agreement with their courier.
Any order placed online will be considered as a binding contract. We may cancel the order in case the product is unavailable from the stock, or proper payment has not been made by the customer. We may also cancel the order if the customer is in breach of the terms of use. An order can be cancelled by the customer until it has been dispatched. We are only able to deliver orders to the UK address you mentioned at the time of purchase. We are not liable for any missed delivery, due to an incorrect or incomplete address entered by you.

Returns
We will only accept returns or repairs under warranty on a return to base basis (unless this is a mistake on our part), which are accompanied by a valid proof of purchase and within the warranty period. Please contact us before returning any items to receive an RMA number and instructions to follow. Returned products should contain all items that were included with the purchase. All returned products need to be tested and any fault verified before any repair or replacement can be issued. If you change your mind about a purchase within 14 days of delivery, we will accept a return for a refund minus any incurred postage and packing costs and a 15 percent restocking fee will also apply. Outside the 14 day period, we reserve the right to refuse any refund or exchange for the products which are not faulty. You must return the products unopened or opened only for inspection. We do not offer a refund if the products have been used. They must be returned in the original, undamaged packaging, including any cables, manuals and accessories received with it. Items which are excluded from the 14 day returns period include personalized products and software or storage where the seal has been broken.

Selling to us
We reserve the right to refuse to purchase any product at our sole discretion. Once you sell your products to us, the ownership will be transferred to us once we have made payment for it. You also warrant that you are the rightful and legitimate owner of the product or have been authorised to sell the product and that the product is free from any or third party claims. In case the products are later found out to be stolen, or fake, we reserve the right to pursue any payments to you, back from you in addition to any law enforcement that may be necessary. Prices quoted by us are subject to change without prior notice after 10 days from receiving a quote from us, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure we receive the equipment within 10 days. We can pay for the items we bought in cash (if local to our workshop) or bank transfer. It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that any device sold to us is clear of any personal information. The Customer should use all reasonable steps to wipe/erase the data on the equipment or any additional storage device included. It is your responsibility to ensure you provide the correct details of your bank if you opted for bank transfer. We shall not be liable for payment made to wrong account due to incorrect details. You agree to indemnify us fully from any third party claims arising out of your negligence. You must ensure that all the cables, manuals and other items specified on the quote are received by us. Failure to do so will result in an amendment to the quote you received. The quote may also be reduced if the condition of the equipment is different than that specified on the form you filled out before receiving a quote from us. If you discover that the condition of your equipment is different to that on the quote, please contact us to amend the quote before sending the equipment to us.
Privacy & Cookie Policy
We process information about you in accordance with our privacy policy. By using our site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate. We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by us will only be in connection with the provision of agreed services and products or newsletter you have previously subscribed to, which can be cancelled at any time by letting us know by phone, email or letter to our registered address. We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. Additionally, for systems administration, detecting usage patterns and troubleshooting purposes, our web servers automatically log standard access information including browser type, access times/open mail, URL requested, and referral URL. This information is not shared with third parties. Any individually identifiable information related to this data will never be used in any way different to that stated above without your explicit permission.
We collect, use and are responsible for certain personal information about you. When we do so we are regulated under the General Data Protection Regulation which applies in the United Kingdom and we are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal information for the purposes of those laws. We collect most of this personal information directly from you – in person, by telephone, text, email or via our website. We only ask for the information that is relevant to enable us to provide our products and services to you. We may also collect information via our CCTV systems. At times we may be required by law or litigation to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary. Our workshop uses CCTV to record images for the protection of staff and customers and the prevention and detection of crime. For online transactions, to ensure that your credit, debit or other account is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and other Data Protection laws applicable at the time. There may be occasions where it is necessary to share information about you with third parties such as when issues arise with deliveries, we may provide information to Royal Mail or other couriers in order to assist with investigations. We may share your information with other retailers if there is any suspicion or evidence of criminal activity.

You can also request to be provided with a copy of your personal information (the right of access). Request us to correct any mistakes in your personal information. Request us to delete your personal information in certain situations. For further information on each of these rights, including the circumstances in which they apply, please contact us or see the Guidance from the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) on individuals’ rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. If you would like to exercise any of those rights, please contact us by letter to our registered address, phone or email. This policy can be updated without notice to fall in line with changes that are required.
Like most interactive websites, we use cookies to enable us to retrieve user details for each visit. Cookies are used in some areas of our site to enable the functionality of this area and ease of use for those people visiting. Some of our affiliate partners may also use cookies.
