1 / CDJ 850 Stuck on
"Power On" Screen

Found the clock signal missing between the Main IC and the Panel IC. Found corrosion possibly due to a liquid spill on a via creating an open circuit condition and halting the boot sequence. Repaired the circuit.

2 / CDJ 900 Nexus
No Power

Discovered no 12V input on the 3.3V regulator. Traced the fault to a track with a corroded via possibly due to a liquid spill. Repaired the circuit.

No Audio Output

Measured -30V on the +15V Rail. Found the tracks were broken by the solder joint of a large electrolytic capacitor possibly due to the weight of the component if the mixer had been dropped or similar. Repaired the broken tracks.

No Lights

None of the buttons lit up. Found a blown fuse responsible for the LEDs on the control panel. Evidence of a liquid spill on some of the control panel circuit boards. I suspected a short due to the liquid. Cleaned the boards, checked current draw, replaced fuse.

CD player not working

Corrosion on ribbon cable to CD Mechanism. Cleaned off residue. Ran a wire to repair damaged connection.

Found a crack in circuit board. Ran wires to repair connections to damaged tracks.

Found corrosion on touch sensitive membrane. Cleaned off the corrosion and repaired the membrane.
